Solar Heaters & Sun Screen with Solar Beads

Last week, the students tested the effectiveness of sun screen on solar beads. We used five different sun screens to see which one was the best. The students were able to determine this if the solar beads didn't change color.

They also created solar water heaters. They tested white solar heaters covered and not covered and black solar water heaters covered and not covered. They determined the non-covered black solar heater initially absorbed the most heat, but over time, the one that was covered and black absorbed the most heat.
